Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.

The outside looks kinda sketchy, and it's kept me away for years... The inside is pretty nice! It's definitely an old building, and a bit drafty, but the food is solid, and it's the only Greek food in the area (at least to my knowledge). Our service wasn't amazing, but it was solidly OK. I had the pork souvlaki, and it comes with a generous portion of fries, which were pretty good! The baklava is solid as well. You might not go out of your way to come here, but if you're in the area and want a little slice of heaven between phyllo, seems like this is your place :P

What can I say? Wow, 5***** for everyone! What an amazing dinner experience, and the service was impeccable. The chef and even the owner came over and asked how everything was. We are very pleased and will return soon. A big shout out to Tara, who made sure we had everything we needed and that our drinks were full.

Not sure why good reviews, this place is a dive. No person up front to great you and direct to tables. In fact they argued in back on who had to go up and deal w/customer. Raining somewhat that day and roof leaking so they just throw bucket in middle of floor as if that's the permanent solution. Then asked for eggs for lunch and they called it breakfast and said "nope, breakfast over" even though you could order egg sandwich for lunch. I basically said, "yup got the message" and took my business down the road to the sunshine grille which was great and very tasty. Figure who am I to argue with someone if they say they don't want my business. ;-)

Ok so I've lived in Bel Air all my life. Have eaten at the greek village for many many years. I love the place! I'm not sure where to start.... The food is always delicious and very fresh. Although I usually go there for lunch and get one of the lunch specials, I also enjoy their breakfast and diner when I have a chance to go. Price is great and it's not just greek food. They have all kinda stuff from burgers to wraps right down to the blackened tuna I had the other night for diner, they know their stuff in the kitchen!! Ok so service is kinda big deal too. The waitresses there are always smiling and on top of everything. When I go there for lunch im on a time limit with work. I've never had an issue with service ever taking too long before. That alone is a BIG deal. As they say time is money. So all that being said I will continue to recommend The Greek Village to all my friends!!

Okay. I'm rather skeeved. No one to great you, low ceilings, 70s decor. Then the food.... Ummm when I can't finish a crabcake... There's something wrong. Chesapeake Benedict. Gross! I asked for crispy hash browns I got mush. Oh... The best part was leaky ceiling with completely soaked floor nxt to me. Looked very moldy. Won't be coming here again

The service was excellent, the food was served in a timely manner in courses, and there was something for even the pickiest eater in our group! The food was wonderful and right the first time, we will definitely eat here again!

I don't know why all the bad reviews, I go here often..Yes the building needs to be updated but it's a dive and has been around a long time. Greek village has some of the best crab cakes I've had I would suggest getting them extra broiled aka well done. I don't get anything else there other than crab cakes so I can't comment on the other food but my husband gets the lasagna and he enjoys it. The staff and owner is extremely nice and always checks up on your table.

I came here after looking after craving a gyro. The place is basically an old diner with some greek-like food. The gyro was okay, not great. Nothing with just lamb. The service was a slow and our waitress disappeared for long periods of time. Overall, I won't be going back.

Went back to celebrate Father's Day with the family a few weeks ago and ordered the Feta Cheese/Spinach Omelette....omg! this was so good!

This is a very family friendly establishment with surprisingly great food. I've been here many times for breakfast and dinner and the food is extremely good. The service is quick and friendly and the portions are just right. At dinner, they have an extensive menu, but I can't get past the exceptionally tasty Greek specialties like chicken souvlaki and oddly enough, a delicious chicken cordon bleu. I want to try the other stuff, but the two I like are just so good. My husband is a seafood lover, so he opts for the crab cake which is one of the best in town. It's all jumbo lump with little filler. We've also had their gyros, which are wonderful and their cheesesteaks which are also very good. We've always had great service there. As repeat customers, we've never had a bad meal there.

I'm not one to right negative reviews on here, because I feel that too many people want to bring to light the negative, and ignore the positive experiences they have in restaurants. However, that's not the case for Greek Village. I went over the summer with my girlfriend who lives right up the road because I was feeling like a gyro, so I figured "why not?". When we got there we were seated rather promptly. The waitress seemed very disinterested with taking much care of us. She brought us our water about ten minutes later, and we ordered. I ordered a gyro with extra meat (which is usually a few dollars extra). My girlfriend got something, and I can't remember for the life of me what it was. Moving on, we got a wilted salad with it that tasted like nothing. I couldn't finish it, so I just let it go back, and the waitress didn't even bother to ask if anything was wrong. After about twenty or so minutes of waiting, the food came out (which was great because I was very hungry at that point). My food was hot, and had about six pieces of lamb on it. It was oily, and didn't taste or look fresh so I asked if it was. I was informed by the waitress that it was frozen, and came in a pack... I'm going to stop here for a minute, and rant for a second. What "Greek" restaurant in their right mind doesn't have their own meet for a gyro? I've been to absolutely horrid places that I probably shouldn't have ever eaten in, and they even had their own lamb. It's just a little distressing to see this in a place that seems busy a little too often. Back to the meal, I finished about half of it because it just wasn't good. My girlfriend couldn't finish her meal either, and we got the bill. I looked at the bill expecting a normal up charge for extra meat, and was taken aback by the 8.25 or so gyro accompanied by a 6 or 8 dollar charge for extra meat. I asked the gentleman that looked to be a manager at the front by the register, and he said that's what they always do, and the waitress should have told me. I explained to him that if it were a three or ever four dollar up charge, I wouldn't worry about it as much but it was almost the price of another entree. He told me there's nothing he can do, and proceeded to run my card and hand me the bill. It cost me entirely too much for the little we got. Pair that with a dingy interior, an unfriendly unresponsive waitress, and add a heaping scoop of poor management and you have the perfect recipe for Greek Village, Bel Air. I really hope this helps someone to stay away from there in the future. If you want good Greek, take the 25 minute ride down 95 to Baltimore and hit up Greek Town. Samos has been there a while, and has spectacular food, along with plenty of other places around there. Don't let yourself down by going to a diner gallivanting around as a "Greek" restaurant. Please keep in mind, this was my experience, and I'm only speaking my mind whilst trying to remain as unbiased as possible. I believe that I've failed you in being unbiased, but at least I've informed you. Thank you for your time.

What happened to this place? I swear it used to be so much better. Two stars because: Our food was cold. The pancakes, the spanakopita, the sausage...all cold. And not just shy of hot. I mean cold. The place felt dingy. There were a few tables around us that hadn't been cleaned and were tended to only when customers had to be seated there. Not a one star because the gyros and spanakopita are tasty (when they're warm) and the wait staff is fairly competent and quite friendly.

never crowded, wonder why? because of attitude. food is fine, but they to skimp on menu items. for years pork chop dinner consisted 3 bone in chops The .last time i was there I ordered the same item from menu, price the same, it only consisted of two chops. . first my cup of soup was 3/4 filled. then i ordered when questioning the owner, his answer was "people said 3 were two many"! why wouldn't they take it home? why did the price stay the same? why wasn't menu changed? since I had already ordered, did he offer another chop, since there was no notice of change? no, not him. I did not go back for a year and probably would have never return, but my wife wanted to try it again, so we went tonight first my cup of soup was 3/4 filled. then I ordered a very basic item, hot turkey sandwich with fries and gravy. can't go wrong there, right! when my platter arrived, it looked real good. a big pile of turkey over bread. well, that didn't last long! after cutting into the turkey, I realized that under a few slices of turkey, lay TWO thick slices of bread! I've never had hot turkey or beef with two slices of bread! after complaining to my server, he said he would take care of it. when he returned, he said the chef made it over for me. "making it over" meant only one slice a d same minimal amount of turkey! gee, I wonder why they are the only restaurant in Bel Air that is never crowded? never again.

Local family owned, classic American diner. I'm a huge American breakfast fan; and this place fills the bill. Can't vouch for lunch or dinner - breakfast is the real deal though; and the service is great. Unlike another well known diner in Bel Air - they will be by to warm up your coffee; more than once if you please.
